So the new TV Spot for Captain America: Civil War came out today and I thought it would be nice to break down some of the new footage that we see! Here is the TV Spot if you haven’t seen it yet:
The first new bit of awesome footage we see is a red and white costumed Falcon flying through the sky in all of his Anthony Mackie glory.

The location is similar to that of the Black Panther/Bucky fight scene from previous TV Spots and trailers. This could tell us that Falcon is flying in there to break up the fight or aid Bucky, which is interesting because Bucky tried to kill Falcon in The Winter Soldier. I also just have to comment on that costume because that pose really highlights the new Falcon suit. It’s bold and looks a way more like the comic book costume counterpart than the last costume.

Then you have Tony Stark taking a step back to contemplate his actions.
This next scene is really interesting because we see Black Panther and War Machine working with what seems to be a group of Sokovia Accords. In this film, the Sokovia Accords are the people who are the main advocates for the superhero registration act since Sokovia’s destruction was caused by Ultron (who was pretty much created by superheroes).

Okay, this one is just a super cool nod to the character of Black Panther. In the comics, his suit is made of vibranium (which is a mineral found in Black Panther’s homeland, Wakanda). Guess what else is made of vibranium? CAPTAIN AMERICA’S SHIELD (and Ultron)! Captain America’s shield is virtually indestructible, but Black Panther clearly left a scratch on his shield, which shows just how awesome this mano y mano battle is going to be.

Here you can see just how powerful those panther claws really are! If Black Panther can make Captain America vulnerable, his movie is going to be so awesome and I’m really hyped to see that now!
Overall, the TV Spot is reveals how much the two sides hate each other and teases some major battles. This movie looks great and I can’t wait to go see it on May 6, 2016! So what do you think about Captain America: Civil War now that you’ve seen a little more of Black Panther’s powers? Are you more or less excited for the movie? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section!
Note: I don’t own any of the pictures or videos above. If you have a concern about the usage of any of these images or videos, please feel free to let me know. Thanks!
